Lokesh Inspects AP-Maker-Lab-On-Wheels Prototype

Amaravati: Minister for Education, IT and Electronics Nara Lokesh on Friday inspected the proto-type of AP-Maker-Lab-On-Wheels which contains the latest technology like AI, robotics and Internet of Things that has been introduced with the cooperation of Infosys on an experimental basis.

The AP-Maker-Lab-On-Wheels vehicle contains all the latest technology and is aimed at bringing awareness among the students on the global radical reforms being intro-duced in technology. The State Government with the active cooperation of the renowned software company, Infosys, introduced the vehicle on an experimental basis at Mangalagiri and Lokesh inspected the vehicle at Vundavalli.

As a pilot project, this vehicle will be taken to all the schools in Mangalagiri to bring awareness among the students on the latest technology. Later, such vehicles will be sent to all the educational institutions across the State. Infosys becoming a partner to bring transformative skill opportunities closer to students is really commendable, Lokesh remarked.

The main aim of the Maker-Lab-On-Wheels is providing opportunities to students on free digital and STEM learning to students even in remotest areas of the State in ac-cordance with the objectives of Digital India, ESG Vision-2030 (Environmental, Social and Governance).

The AP-Maker-Lab-On-Wheels programme will soon be launched in all parts of the State by the AP Skill Development in close collaboration with Infosys.
